parrots amok

I hope Blogger fixes it so I can post pictures directly again, because I had to jump through some hoops today to get these up here.

These aren't awesome pictures, but as the little dog below the subject supercedes the composition. When we were in Australia I was amazed and delighted at the hundreds of cockatoos you could see coming out of the forest at night to feed. They are so plentiful there that some Aussies consider them a nuisance. They were really fun to watch.

I like the DOF and the detail in the white of the birds.

I think you need a bit more space on the margins of your blog. I have no idea how you fix that.

Have you moved your Blogger blog to your own domain? I am afraid to try that. I have dropped the word verification and opted for the email authorization. I find the blogger word verification a bit too much, entirely.

Cheers,

Maggie

I increased the margins so I could make the pictures as large as possible. Is it spilling off the edges of your screen? I have a pretty small monitor and hoped that if it looked good on mine it would look good on others.

I do host my own blog and publish via FTP.

I do both word verification and email verification. I know it's a pain for commenters, but I used to get about 50 comments a day in spam, so I play it safe.

Thanks for your visit!

Hi Brad

The printing is going right to the edges of the window of my Firefox browser. I have my monitor resolution set at 1024 x 768, and the browser set to cover the whole 19 inch screen.

oh my, that's a lot of spam. I used to do both from the outset of my blogspot blog so never got spam. So, I have reduced my blocks to just the email verification now. Not getting any spam now, either. Just lucky I guess.

Hope that helps.

Cheers

With regard to your no email on my blog question: I have been doing a bit of research with Blogger help. Apparently we need to check the box in our profile that allows our address to be shown. Also, read this about how to find email from comments made. I did not allow my email to be shown in my profile and so you could not find it. Its a matter of how privacy. Allowing your email to show might be part of your spam problem. But I have now allowed my email to show. As far as I am aware, my email should only show to people I have commented on. Let me try it. Here is the hot link about it.
